NEAR INFRARED (NIR) DETECTABILITY
PAKTECH is committed to the inclusion of NIR Detectable colorant in our black products by 2024.
- Partnered with Visy Plastics ANZ for the inclusion of NIR Detectable (Black) colorant.
- Biobased Infrared Reflective (IR) Black Masterbatch Colorant made from Farm Waste and Recyclable.
- Detectable using current NIR Technology in today’s MRF’s sorting equipment, providing greater than 10% reflectivity and greater than 40 L-value per APR definitions for sort-ability of dark colors in the recycling streams.
- Detectability verified through 3rd party testing and MRF’s demonstrating >96% recovery rate.
